Grammy award-winning Justin Timberlake decided to show off his “Sexy Back-ness” in a skit with Beyoncé on Saturday Night Live. In the piece, Timberlake is one of Beyoncé’s back-up dancers for her music video, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” Why men are in Beyoncé’s video about women, no one knows! Check it out.
Brad Garrett, who is well-known for his role as Raymond Barone, the brother of Ray on the hit show, “Everybody Loves Raymond,” apparently loves Barack Obama. Who knew? I caught up with the 6′ 8-1/2″ actor/comedian at the Obama California Headquarters Election Night celebration to get his thoughts on Obama’s presidential win. Garrett, who has appeared in Music and Lyrics recently and was the voice of Riff Raff in Underdog and Gusteau in Ratatouille movies, said America is back.

McCain’s recent education ad deals Obama some pretty harsh blows. The ad claims Obama wants 5-year olds to learn about sex before reading. And it says Obama has accomplished zilch in the education arena. Of course, it doesn’t speak at all to McCain’s track record on sex education or lessons for the kiddies.
Well, I’ve done a little digging and found that the statements are largely untrue, according to FactCheck.org.
STATEMENT 1: The ad claims that Obama’s one accomplishment is “legislation to teach comprehensive sex education to kindergarteners.”
FALSE – Although the Illinois bill McCain speaks of included the phrase “comprehensive sex education,” it also mandated age-appropriate instruction for kindergartners about issues like sexually transmitted diseases, inappropriate touching, etc. Obama supported the legislation because it would update Illinois’ sex education curriculum by making it “medically accurate.” And under the legislation, parents could remove their children from the class – no questions asked.
So where does McCain really stand on the issue of torture? Is the Republican presidential candidate and former prisoner of war in Vietnam, in favor of the use of torture or against it.
When asked by Marie Claire magazine recently which celebrity he identifies with most, McCain said:
“Kiefer Sutherland. [laughs, imitates a voice from the show 24] ‘It’s Jack Bauer.’ We have a lot in common because he escapes all the time.”
However, when reminded of Jack Bauer’s use of torture in the show, McCain does a Hollywood Retake. He says:
“Yeah, that’s right. That’s where Jack and I disagree. He believes in torture, but I don’t. He says, “Tell me where the weapons are.” The person says, “I won’t.” Bam! “OK, I’ll tell.”
I’m not sure which is more disconcerting. McCain’s choice of Jack Bauer from “24” as the character he most identifies with. The fact that policymakers like McCain are actually influenced by fictional television characters. (Who said TV doesn’t affect the viewers?) Or maybe McCain’s choice of Bower was a Freudian slip on his torture views?
Yet despite his denial, McCain’s record on torture belies another story. According to his voting record, McCain voted against a bill banning the use of waterboarding by the CIA. And after the bill passed, he asked Bush to veto it.
So, let’s ask the question again. Is McCain for or against torture? Here is a little refresher of McCain’s stance on torture back in February 2008, courtesy of MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann.
She’s no Sarah Palin, but in the reality television world Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth can also be described as tough, dogged and a fearsome competitor. I recently had the opportunity to catch up with Omarosa, who first appeared on Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” show. Some of you may remember her from season one, in which many viewers felt she stabbed fellow African-American competitor, Kwame Jackson, in the back during the final round. Omarosa, who has appeared on two seasons of “The Apprentice,” VH1’s “Surreal Life” and on “I Love New York” was very clear with me about the three most important issues to consider in this presidential election. Let’s listen to her dish.

As some of my bestest (yes, I know it’s not a word) friends know, I am the star apprentice at CNBC this summer – destined for greatness. Hey, if I don’t say it who will. (This is the subtle art of positive thinking and affirmation at work.) Anywoo, one of our anchors, Erin Burnett, has made to the limelight. The New York Times wrote an article about her on Sunday, July 20th entitled, “Needing a Star, CNBC Made One.” Check it out.
Ms. Burnett has achieved my goal – becoming a TV anchor and reporter success. And she is all that she appears to be – beautiful, smart, friendly and full of smiles for everyone she encounters. I wish her the best and I hope to follow in her fortune-laden footsteps.

I don’t know about you bellas, but tonight is a big night. If you have to ask, then I will question your fashion commitment. Tonight, my sweeties, is the season premiere of Bravo’s Project Runway season 5. And many of us have been waiting on pins and needles for its arrival.
If you are an avid watcher, you know that we can count on a reality show that is full of drama (a reality show standard) but creativity too. And honestly, at this point in the show, we have no idea who will win. So we are in for a ride.
And who can miss the beautiful Heidi Klum, whose life seems to perfect beyond compare. (I’m adding her to my girl crushes.) Beautiful, great body, great husband (Seal), cute kids and an award-winning television show. What more do you need?
We can also catch the crème de la crème of American designers: Michael Kors, Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia (Elle “editor at large”). Plus, the show promises some really cool guest celebrity judges. RuPaul (whoa!), Diane Von Furstenberg, Brooke Shields (modeling icon) and LL Cool J (king of 30 & over sexy) are on the list. Need I say more.
If you check out Bravo’s site, you can get the scoop on the 16 new contestants. We have 2 hailing from my sunny hometown of Los Angeles. But I’m wishing all of them the best of luck. May the most fabulous one win!
Check your local listings for show times. I’m getting the popcorn ready.
Smooches,
The Caramel Bella
